A number of laptop computers state refurbished plus some state reconditioned. Is reconditioned bad or even the same? I’ve purchased refurbished items in the past which were just as new – is reconditioned exactly the same or might it appear all worn and tatty or such?
I wish to purchase a mac laptop pro 15″ which is refurbished. I do not truly see the massive difference from a 2100$ brand new one and a refurbished 1200$ one. Can there be some thing about refurbished laptop computers which make them bad? Or are they just like a brand new laptop. Once again it is a macbook pro 15″ laptop from Apple inc.
I took my old notebook in to Best Buy today because it had stopped booting. It is a few years old and they said it is more cost efficient to buy a new one than to put money into the old one. So, now i’m trying to choose a new notebook laptop. I am a teacher but this is my home computer. I want it for video playing and editing, School related things (word processing, powerpoint) and internet as well as my financial records etc. I do not want a Mac because it will not be compatible with my computers at school. Any suggestions? What should I be looking for?

I have an Acer Aspire 3680 Laptop. I just recently deleted all partitions and installed windows XP. The device manager is showing the driver for “Modem Device on High Definition Audio Bus” and “Network Connector” is not installed properly. I downloaded every driver that Acer has to offer, and neither one of them seems to fix this device. Any suggestions? Thanks
I must use windows XP, since just starting up vista takes awhile. If I request a restor CD from Acer, I will have Vista again, since that is the original OS.
My parents got me a Mac, but it can’t really do a lot (gaming, etc.), so I want to buy a Windows based laptop. What are some that are uber cheap?
